Earth Garden Naturals- A Review

Holy crap on a stick! I'm alive!

I cannot believe that it has been over a month since I last made a post. I suppose that the easiest thing to do would be to blame the time of the year. Because let's face it this is a busy time of year, especially between shopping, cooking, and horrid head colds. I haven't even had time to just sit down and play with my makeup- though I have bought plenty (one advantage of having a December birthday), and there will be a super mega haul  by January.

So, onward with the review!

I picked up these items back in November at a local yearly exhibition called the Christmas Village. The exhibition hall is jam packed with vendors selling just about everything: toys, holiday decorations, foods, jewelry, candles, etc. You name it, I'm pretty sure that someone there had it.

The company is called Earth Garden Naturals, and what makes me so excited about this company is that they're local- so my Alabama girls, you definitely need to show this company some love.

I actually picked up this soap for my husband. It's such a nice masculine scent, but not over powering. Actually, it's very similar to Irish Spring soap, but it's so much better- I'll get to this particular point in my Pros and Cons. The husband loves it, and I love to have a good smelling husband.

I bought this soap for me. I absolutely adore peppermint, it's one of those scents that I'm drawn to like a moth to a lightbulb- I just can't help myself. Of course, being  peppermint, the scent is crisp and clean and very invigorating. This soap is so incredibly gentle, it's incredible- I actually use this to clean my face at night. It doesn't dry my skin out at all, in fact it leaves it feeling quite refreshed.

I had wanted to put a photo of the ingredients on this post as well, but because of the shape of the jar I couldn't get a good picture of it. If anyone wants, I can post them in later. I cannot tell you all how awesome this stuff is. It smells wonderful, it's so sweet and light- which is surprising to me because Cranberry Citrus is not something that I'm usually drawn to. It exfoliates very, very well and when it's rinsed off with water it leaves my skin so soft and smooth. I've actually even used this on my face, every other day of course.

This was my freebie. They told me I could pick out a chap stick with my purchase, so naturally I went for the peppermint. Needless to say, this lives in my purse.

Pros:
  • Local! I love being able to support local businesses.
  • Their soaps are all plant based- no animal fats. They also do not contain petroleum or detergents.
  • Reasonable prices. Full bars are $5, and when you buy 5 you get the 6th one free. The small body polish (pictured above) is $12, the large is $20. Unfortunately I cannot remember how much the chap stick is, but if I had to guess it was about $3.
  • For the dog lover, they also carry a special doggie soap. It helps to repel insects and soothes dry skin.
Cons:
  • None. Seriously, I love this company.

For contact information, prices, ordering/where to buy, and to find out what shows they will be at in the coming year, you can visit their website here: Earth Garden Naturals

I promise not to be away for so long again. So keep an eye out for my mega haul, and quite possibly a face lift for the blog. I'm feeling the need for a change around here.

See you later, my freaky darlings.
